Live With Intention

Hey, January isn't even half over yet so I am still ok! Here is my resolution for 2007 courtesy of Oregon writer and artist Mary Anne Radmacher.

"Live with intention. Walk to the edge. Listen hard. Laugh. Practice wellness. Play with abandon. Continue to learn. Appreciate your friends. Choose with no regret. Do what you love. Live as if this is all there is."

My best to everyone!

White Christmas

This weekend a few girlfriends and I went to the Ordway Theatre in St. Paul to see White Christmas. What an awesome play this was! The costumes were vibrant, the dancing crisp, sharp and upbeat and just overall a great show.  The four of us all worked in the HR Department at the paper mill at one time together and over the years our lives have changed and evolved around children, marriage etc . Although it is hard to get 4 working schedules in sync, we manage to get together at least once a year. I so look forward to these times to catch up and visit. There is so much catching up to do that the day just flies.

The next day is when it really hits me. We are four very different women, at four different points in our lives and careers and it seems that our differences are exactly what we have in common (in addition to our addiction to chocolate!)  I am struck by how fortunate I am to have Nancy, Linda and Joyce and other friends, both old and new,  in my life.

I am also struck, unfortunately, by how little I do to maintain these relationships. I had not yet made any resolutions this year so my first is to pay attention to those important to me and to not take any relationship for granted.
