Employee Free Choice?

Union balloting could go public with the Employee Free Choice Act. The bill would force employees to make public their decisions on whether or not to support a union. Under the bill, their decision would be made known to union officials, their employer and their co-workers. By eliminating the secret ballot, it appears that this bill could actually take away employee's private and "free choice" and expose them to coercion. Yikes, this does not sound good for employees or employers. I have not read up on the bill but plan to learn more. I actually just noticed the information from SHRM today and then within the hour on the HR Capitalist

If you are a member of SHRM and want to learn more about this bill or voice your opinion, you can do so through HR VOICE in the governmental section of the SHRM website.

With that, I am off on vacation!
