You're Gonna Miss This: A Day in the Life Sunday

When it comes to travel, I am all-talk and little action these days.

Living in Germany, it was nothing for a friend to call on Friday and we'd be pottery shopping in Sofflenheim on Saturday or in Luxembourg eating dinner that night. Craving pasta? Road trip to Lago di Garda. Spa need? Baden-Baden. 

I was single then and I left an empty apartment each time I backed out of my garage. Today, I leave my family. I am the first to jump in and say, "Yes" when a trip is being planned but am often the one who doesn't follow through.

A song I heard this morning resonated with me and I wanted to share it with you today.

My daughter went from 0 - 12 in the blink of an eye and in 6 short years, she'll be on her own. The best is yet to come and I don't want to miss any of it.

Does this mean no more travel? Heck no, it means I'll continue to balance my time away from my family with time away with my family and make the most of it all.
